October 2026: the incumbents lose their footing

Sky. Venus retrograde (a planet appearing to move backward; a time to recheck and redo) from 3 Oct to 14 Nov in Scorpio and Libra: alliances and money deals get a second look. Mercury retrograde 24 Oct to 13 Nov. Pluto stations direct (a planet standing still before changing direction; its meaning is strongest then) on 16 Oct at 3°04' Aquarius. Saturn at opposition to the Sun on 4 Oct. Mars opposite Pluto on 3 Oct. Saturn, retrograde in early Aries, conjoins (sits in the same degree as) Iran's Sun on 6 Oct and opposes France's Sun on 5 Oct, squares (sits at a right angle to) the UK's Sun on 19 Oct and the WTO's Sun on 20 Oct, opposes Germany's Sun on 28 Oct. Jupiter conjoins India's Sun on 9 Oct and squares Israel's Sun on 26 Oct, the day before Israel votes. The North Node conjoins the US Moon (the American public) on 29 Oct. The Companion's stress score (its tally of signs that have gone with clashes between countries or trouble for governments) is high.

Curve. Capex is running at its 2026 guidance (~$740B for the big four); the 14 to 15 Oct selloff (Oracle down 9% on the 14th, Nikkei down 4.9% on the 15th) is the first time the market has priced the collision between that spending and a 5% ten-year yield. Nvidia reports its $108B quarter in late November.

Charts. Neptune squares OpenAI's Mercury (8 Oct, again 12 Feb 2027): the two incompatible revenue figures that surfaced on 9 Oct are what Neptune on a company's Mercury looks like. Saturn opposes Oracle's Pluto (3 Oct) and Apple's Pluto (17 Oct). Uranus opposes Google's Pluto (7 Oct, again 21 May 2027): Google's ad-tech remedies order (16 Sep) and the restriction of Gemini 4 Argon to government and internal use are the shock to Google's power. Saturn squares Tesla's Sun (28 Oct, again 22 Jan 2027).

Predictions. - Brazil, 25 Oct runoff. Flávio Bolsonaro wins the presidency (60%). The first round went 47.0 to 45.2 and the PL holds both chambers. Venus retrograde favors the challenger who promises to undo a deal. Liberatory expression: a peaceful handover and a congress that checks the executive. Shadow: a Bolsonaro presidency that treats the 2022 settlement as reversible. - Israel, 27 Oct election. No bloc reaches 61 seats on election night (70%), and Netanyahu does not lead the next government (60%). The 12 Oct poll gives the opposition bloc 54 to 49; Jupiter square Israel's Sun the day before the vote, with Saturn due to oppose Israel's rising point in May 2027 (the Ascendant, the eastern horizon of the chart, which stands for the nation's self-image) reads as a change of head. Shadow: weeks of failed coalition talks and a caretaker government through the Lebanon talks and the UNIFIL expiry. - Gulf. The Houthi attacks on Riyadh (10 to 12 Oct) do not become a direct Saudi-Iran exchange of fire before 15 Nov (65%). Mars opposite Pluto on 3 Oct was the flare; Venus retrograde and Trump's stated no-strikes-before-the-midterms line hold the lid. - US, Fed 27 to 28 Oct. A 25-point hike or a hold with a hawkish statement; a hike at 50%. Either way the 10-year does not fall below 4.75% in October (70%). - Markets. The S&P 500 closes October below its 6 Oct record of 7,819 (80%) and ends 2026 below that record (65%). The sky between now and the December stations is a retrograde review of money (Venus) and words (Mercury), not a crash; the crash signature sits in March 2027. - AI. No frontier lab publishes a METR 50% horizon above 24 hours before the end of 2026 (60%); the measurement, not the capability, is the limit (METR says anything above 16 hours is unreliable). Nvidia reports above guidance in late November and the stock falls on the print (55%): Saturn opposes Nvidia's Jupiter on 6 Nov.

Numbers and mood. Universal year 1, month 11 (sudden insight). 29 October adds to 22. Mood: strain 3, ease 46. Stress: high (UN, UK, Iran in focus).

November 2026: the vote, the deals, and the first binding of power

Sky. US midterms on 3 Nov with Mercury and Venus both retrograde (through 13 and 14 Nov). Juno (the asteroid of contracts and binding partnership) conjoins Pluto on 5 Nov. Jupiter opposes the North Node on 12 Nov. Mars conjoins Jupiter on 16 Nov (a day that adds to karmic 19, power used alone). Uranus trine Pluto (an easy 120° link) on 29 Nov, the first of four passes that run to May 2028: invention and power working together. Saturn squares Canada's Sun on 8 Nov and 28 Nov. Pluto squares Kenya's Moon on 24 Nov. Jupiter squares the EU's Moon (1 Nov) and Spain's Midheaven (the top of the chart, the government) on 14 Nov, two weeks before Spain votes. Neptune conjoins the Iran war chart's Saturn on 29 Nov (and 26 Dec): the structure of that war dissolves, either into a deal or into fog.

Curve. Tokens at roughly 5 quadrillion a month on Google's measured rate; AI's share of announced US layoffs above 30% for a third straight month.

Charts. Uranus opposes Nasdaq's Jupiter (24 Nov). Pluto squares Google's Saturn (15 Nov). Uranus squares SpaceX's Mercury (7 Nov). Pluto conjoins GPT-6 Astra's Pluto (26 Nov; a station contact, color only).

Predictions. - US midterms. Democrats take the House (80%). The Senate stays Republican (55%), with at least two of the seven toss-ups decided after election night under Mercury retrograde (70%). The North Node on the US Moon on 29 Oct is the public moving. Liberatory: a divided government that slows executive AI and tariff policy by decree. Shadow: an election-night result disputed in at least one Senate race into December. - Spain, 29 Nov. The PP wins the most seats and forms a government with Vox (65%). Jupiter square Spain's Midheaven two weeks out and Pluto exactly on Spain's rising point on 7 Dec read as a change of regime character, not a routine swap. Shadow: the first government in Spain since 1978 with a hard-right party in cabinet. - COP31, Antalya, 9 to 20 Nov. Produces no new binding commitment; the measured number that matters is the 2026 global temperature estimate (~1.47°C) read into the record (80%). Juno conjunct Pluto is the deal that binds power: the binding deals of this month are not climate deals but data-center power deals. At least one G20 government or state signs a multi-gigawatt dedicated power arrangement for AI compute in November (65%). - APEC Shenzhen, 18 to 19 Nov. A Trump-Kim meeting happens (45%); if it does, it produces a photograph and no verifiable agreement. - Iran. The Qatar/Pakistan channel produces a renewed memorandum before year end (40%); Neptune on the war chart's Saturn is as consistent with a paper deal nobody enforces as with no deal. The US blockade is still in force on 31 Dec (70%). - Economy. The Fed's December meeting (9 to 10 Dec) delivers a second hike if October did not, so that the policy rate is at least 4.00 to 4.25% on 31 Dec (60%).

Numbers and mood. Universal year 1, month 3. Mood: strain 18, ease 66. Stress: moderate (UK in focus).

Saturn stations direct on 10 Dec at 7°56' Aries, Neptune on 12 Dec at 1°37' Aries, Jupiter stations retrograde on 13 Dec at 27°01' Leo. Mercury goes out of bounds (farther north than the Sun ever goes; acting outside the usual rules) on 18 Dec. Rahu, the Vedic north node, enters sidereal Capricorn on 5 Dec. Pluto conjoins Spain's rising point on 7 Dec. The North Node opposes Indonesia's Sun (3 Dec) and South Korea's Sun (19 Dec). The December solstice on 21 Dec.

Curve. The US continuing resolution expires 11 Dec. Hyperscaler capex for 2027 gets guided in late January; the measured 2026 total is the bar.

Charts. Uranus squares Tesla's Uranus (23 Dec, again 26 Mar 2027), the midlife shock of a company founded in 2003. Uranus conjoins the SpaceX listing's Uranus (19 Dec). Neptune on the Iran war chart's Saturn again (26 Dec).

Predictions. - US funding. A lapse in appropriations of at least one day after 11 Dec (50%); if it happens it ends before the solstice (70% conditional). Mars square Uranus on the 4th is the fight; the three stations are the turn. - UN. The Security Council recommends a Secretary-General by 15 Dec (75%); Rebeca Grynspan is the recommendation (55%), Rafael Grossi (30%). The first woman in the post is the liberatory reading of the North Node on the US Moon and Pluto in Aquarius; the shadow is a Secretary-General selected into a 21%-smaller Secretariat with US arrears of $4.6B unpaid. - Lebanon. UNIFIL's mandate lapses on 31 Dec without a successor force on the ground (60%). - Markets. Bitcoin trades below $70,000 at some point between 1 Dec and 31 Jan (55%); the 10-year yield stays above 4.5% through year end (80%). - Technology. At least one of the four largest labs announces a model it describes as running autonomously for a full working week on real tasks, between 10 Dec and 31 Jan (55%). Jupiter stationary in late Leo is the announcement; Mercury out of bounds is the claim that exceeds the measurement. - Social. The anti-data-center protest count (142 protests in 42 US states on 18 Jul) is exceeded by a single coordinated day before end of January (50%).

Numbers and mood. Universal year 1, month 4 (from karmic 13, work owed). 6 December adds to karmic 19. Mood: strain 12, ease 59. Stress: moderate.
