2029 — The Aquarian Transition
2029: superintelligence, verification, and restructuring
The first Saturn–Pluto conflict series closes on 29 March. The year then joins a proposed capability leap to a reckoning over safety, financing, and ownership. The story is no longer simply whether a machine can perform a task. It is whether institutions can govern systems whose work may extend beyond their ordinary planning horizon.
The first half contains two explicit security-and-governance tests: confirmed state-actor theft of frontier weights between 3 February and 30 June, and a frontier-AI agreement with inspection or verification signed by the US, China, and EU by 30 June. A treaty with no practical verification would not meet the stronger claim. Verification performed entirely by the systems being assessed would also leave a substantive accountability problem.
June 2029 remains the superintelligence checkpoint, associated in the sources with the 12 June partial solar eclipse. The narrative anticipates autonomous research and long projects becoming more consequential than familiar short-task benchmarks. That is a scenario to test through sustained, independently assessed performance, not a result implied by expenditure. The source's linked commercial claim is narrower and different: between 12 June 2029 and 12 June 2030, SpaceX or its successor announces an acknowledged frontier-leading result, or undergoes a major restructuring. A corporate reorganization can fulfill that commercial claim without proving superintelligence.
Financial and institutional systems face the costs of replacing infrastructure before old investments have paid for themselves. The source forecasts a Nasdaq close at least 30% below its previous all-time high between May 2029 and March 2030, with September–October its proposed sharpest monthly drawdown window. A separate third-quarter test is a legacy national financial or government system outage longer than forty-eight hours. These would reveal weaknesses in the transition's financing and integration, even if AI capability continued to advance.
The institutional map includes pressure for Federal Reserve governance change, eurozone monetary reform, and restructuring at Amazon and Meta. The wider political forecasts concern a US constitutional confrontation over executive or electoral authority, a possible UK reorientation toward Europe, and leadership shocks in Nigeria, China, and Indonesia. Those narrower national claims remain separately scoreable; ordinary turnover is not evidence of a common planetary institutional collapse.
The spiritual strand becomes publicly organized. The source proposes a movement exceeding ten million declared adherents by year-end around AI, the end of work, or a visible sky event. Its significance is social: machines enter arguments about meaning, authority, and collective identity. In research, the forecast seeks an independently confirmed fundamental-physics or cosmology result primarily produced by autonomous AI between late 2029 and mid-2030.
What would count: durable customer value after full operating costs, functioning verification, replicated scientific results, benefits reaching households, and the actual economic measures specified in the ledger. Medical discovery is assessed through trials and patient outcomes, not the number of generated molecules. A change in belief is evaluated as a social event, without treating popularity as proof of the belief's metaphysical claims.
